Advantages: A cheesy favourite Disadvantages: I'd like them even cheesier!
And so my crusade to review all sorts of terribly bad for you junk food continues. Yes, we've had Oreos, Wispas, Walkers Roast Chicken Crisps...and now we have a 'spin-off' off the Walkers brand, it's the good old fashion Quavers.
It's familiar yellow packaging and traditional cheese flavour are favourites in lunchboxes up and down the land. For a time, I was a big fan of the other flavours - bacon, prawn cocktail and salt and vinegar, but they seem to fall by the wayside when it comes to competing with their bigger brother. Oh, and does anyone remember the ketchup flavour which flirted with the limelight for a while?
As with all Walkers crisps now, they are made with Sunseed oil; a special type of sunflower oil (apparently), which results in far less saturated fat than before (up to 80% in fact). Another added bonus is they contain 25 ...
Advantages: Great cinematography, Challenges the normal expectations of typical western Disadvantages: None
By 1969, westerns were becoming the least favourite films of the viewing public. People were beginning to get bored after many western films followed the same formula: a clean shaved hero succeeding in action-packed, tension-building gun-fights against the bad guy, a well dressed beautiful girl and lots of attractive scenery. However, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid still remains one of the most heart-felt and successful films of all time. In 1970, the film won 4 Oscars for "Best Cinematography", "Best Music, Original Score for a Motion Picture", "Best Music, Original Song" and "Best Writing, Story and Screenplay Based on Material Not Previously Published or Produced". It later won 17 and was nominated for another 11 awards.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (BCSK) contains many elements of a traditional western: clean shaven ...
Advantages: Really tasty, sweet but not overpowering. A good price. Disadvantages: None at all but beware of the salt
with the Petticoat Tails box as I knew my Nan would be happy with the choice. It became quite obvious to me that Walkers offer a variety of different shapes and sizes of shortbread and the box that I brought was the 150g box.
Taking the box to the tills in the Range I was impressed with the price, 99p for a box. I had got my Nan a couple but I also decided to get myself a box as well! Naughty but it is Christmas!
The box itself has a lovely design where the background has a red tartan look about it (My Nan will be impressed as my Granddad was Scottish!) The rest of the packaging is quite simple. The Walkers logo is located in white writing on the left hand side of the box (You can get Walkers Petticoat Tails in a wrapper as well) and then simple has the name of the product on the packaging as well as a large picture of the shortbread itself ...
