There is little bad that can be said about the music of Bob Marley. He was the man who began the popularisation of Reggae, and appears to have played a great part in the initial uniting of black and white music lovers. Legend is a compilation of some of his greatest musical triumphs, which should be appreciated by all.
The style throughout is obviously reggae, yet is very varied within that boundary. There are the classic quiet songs, such as the popular 'No Woman No Cry', written about his beloved home, and 'Jammin' - another fairly well track. However, alongside this are songs with more movement and life, such as 'Exodus', 'Buffalo Soldier', and 'I shot the Sheriff'. My personal favourite has to be 'Redemption Song', closely followed by many more such as 'Three little birds' and 'Stir it up'.
All Bob's songs expressed his feelings to the outside world and his philosophies of life. Legend sums these up quite well. Each song on the album has it's own special place in the career of Bob. This album is something most people can relate to, whatever their normal taste in music, so carrying on Bob's attempts to provide unity within his music.
Legend is, in my opinion, Legendary.
