For America, 1968 was one of the most turbulent times witnessed since the finish of the World War II, with counterculture growing in force and size, leading the charge against any form of authority or leadership. And it was rock music that was given the charge of railing against the forces, becoming almost another form of protest music, but with psychedelia instead of folk.
