Less Than The Song/Life Machine - Hoyt Axton

Advantages: A couple of tracks are quite enjoyable.
Disadvantages: The album on the whole is really rather disappointing.

...are rather disappointing and all the excitement that is usually present in a Less Than Jake release seems to have been removed. The music is not too different to their older material, it just lacks life and is therefore a little on the dull side to listen to. I had been quite excited when the album was released, but this excitement was short lived and soon replaced with complete shock and utter disappointment. 'Everything Is Overrated' is perhaps a gross overstatement on behalf of the band, but it is certainly true that their 'In With The Out Crowd' is greatly overrated. It is their least impressive album, and this may be in part down to the fact that the horn section are not utilised as much as usual on this album. Advantages: Another LTJ Album
Disadvantages: Not as good as before

...Well, this album is a bit different from Less Than Jakes other albums, not really much ska in it, well other than track 3 which is a lovely little ska tune. Dont think that it that good to be fair, but it might be a bit of a bias opinion because the CD I was listening too was scratched so I did not get the full listening pleasure. I'd recommend it to all those who follow Less Than Jake, and too all those who listen to terible terible pop "music". I'm kind of hoping that the CD will grow on me, and if it does I will update this review! But for now, my opion of it is not that high. But I suppose everything is worth a listen... I guess... ...A week ago I took out home insurance with More Than, after I said yes to the quote- the lady asked me if I wanted any other quotes on insurance- I said none are up for renewal yet- she said I'd menioned I have a dog- and did I want a quote on that- it won't do any harm? I said ok- I guess I can cancel with my exsisting insurer. The cover was the same as the cover I currently had- but the have a new service- a 24 hour call centre- to get free pet advice from a qualified vet/nurse. Also the cost was a few £'s cheaper per month, the excess was £70 which is standard on all pet insurance policies- for dogs. I said- ok, I will take that cover, which is there top of the line one. I cancelled my direct debit with the current insurer... A week on- no documents had arrived- I called them- and they told me they only send things out... Read review
