The biggest part of the 1960s music scene was dominated by the Beatles, some of the best songs of that era were written by them & they have become classics & will probably remain so for generations to come.

When the band split in 1970 it just a matter of time before they all went their separate ways writing their own material & the quiet one, George Harrison, wasted no time in writing what became classics of his own.

Often described as the quiet member of the band was George Harrison who also made contributions to many of the classics.

I have always admired the Beatles & their careers as separate artists & George Harrison always remained the one with the most interesting songs.
The track listings are: 1, Got my mind set on you A great foot stomping song from 1987 which gave George well deserved chart success.
2, Give me love (Give me peace on earth) A classic from the early 1970s with some fantastic guitar work, it still sounds as fresh today as it did then.
3, Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let it roll)
4, My sweet lord This went to number one in early 1971 & remains one of his best songs, it was re released when George died seven years ago & will always be a firm favourite with his fans.
5, While my guitar gently weeps The Beatles classic that George wrote, this version has been recorded live & is even better than the original recorded version.
6, All things must pass The title track of his classic album of 1970 & another favourite Harrison song.
7, Any road
8, This is love
9, All those years ago
10, Marwa blues
11, What is life My personal Harrison favourite with great guitar work & a real catchy song from the early 1970s.
12, Rising sun
13, When we was fab From 1987 a clever little song that featured Ringo Starr & Elton John on the video.
14, Something Another Beatles classic that Harrison was responsible for, this is a live version & is beautifully song.
15, Blow way
16, Cheer down
17, Here comes the sun One more Beatles classic thanks to Harrison & once again it’s a live version.
18, I don’t want to do it.
19, isn’t a pity
The CD comes with a small 28 page book with an interesting review of him & including a selection of colour & black & white photos. His songs I always found more interesting than later work from Lennon & McCartney so this CD is a fitting tribute to his fine work & comes highly recommended.
