Since I am a person from India I can tell you lot of incidents and lots of references from myths, Vedas, and various ancient scripts to prove that there islifeafterdeath. But it is up to the person to believe it or not
It is said that when it is time to reach the end of life, the soul will depart from our body and roam around us. Now the purpose of the soul is to start a new journey to wards its destination.
The soul will slowly start to rise towards the heaven day by day. It is been said that one can strongly feel the presence of the soul amongst us within the few days of the death incident.
Unlike the western countries, There are lot of rituals to be performed for the next 10 days following the incident, then during each month for the first year. People here condole the death of the person for a full year and they wont go ...
Advantages: if it exists, well, you won't really die... Disadvantages: if it doesn't, you're screwed.
Religion.
Interesting thing, isn't it. I believe they started it.
For centuries, Mankind has believed in lifeafterdeath, and it is still going on now.

In every tribe, nation, or whatever you want, there have been notion of an invisible world, or entity... If you look at the Egyptians, they built pyramids to bury their king, and painted the inside walls with hyerogliphs (spellcheck?) to lead the soul of their king to paradise.
During the Middle Age, christians prayed a lot because they were scared of hell and demons.
Today, some fanatical terrorists blow themselves up to book their place in paradise.
All of that is brainwash if you want my opinion. Nobody has the right answer.
Scientists tried to "track" the soul, trying to find a material thing which would be what we call soul. They never found it ...

Can there really be lifeafterdeath, I think this questioned was phrased wrong, I believe that when you are dead you cannot live, however I believe the question should be, is there an existence afterdeath? And that is what I will now write about, you don't have to share my opinions obviously, but do consider them.
I have been brought up in a Christian family, attending church every Sunday, praying before eating and sleeping etc. and although I, myself do not consider myself a Christian, years of sitting in church services have left me with some strong opinions. I will share with you today why I believe there is an existence afterdeath.
