In case you were wondering Don Chi Chi is what this, rapper/producer/superstar likes to call himself. Chi Chi refers to Chi Town (Chicago) which is his home city. In a nutshell this guy is the less famous, but in my opinion more credible equivalent to Puff Daddy. He has produced tracks for the likes of Destiny's Child, Jagged Edge, Dru Hill and Mariah Carey plus many more and is now showing that he is pretty nifty with the mic in his own hands.

This album is pretty heavy R'n'B verging on Hip Hop in some instances such as "Protectors of 1472." This album is full of great tracks and lots of collaborations with either artists he has helped to the top who want to return the favour, or who he has hooked up with later in their careers who respect and admire what he has done. For example the first track on the album features Nas, the second Jay-Z and then after that there are several contributions from Da Brat and also tracks with Snoop Dogg and Slick Rick.

The main worry with the album is its lyrical content as regards younger or more sensitive listeners. I myself wasn't offended but there is lots of swearing and quite a few references to killing and your general gangsta talk, my Mum certainly doesn't approve but hey! The lyrics though are good overall and certainly have a bit more to them than the commercial drivel that Puffy tends to spout. This is a great album with "Money Aint a Thing" feat Jay-Z and "Fresh" with Slick Rick being my 2 favourite tunes although its hard to pick out these when the other songs are nearly all to this high standard. Buy it.
