...made me buy his album Life In Cartoon Motion from Amazon (£8.98) It’s full of fun and happy songs which I just love everyday. ...this one very very very well by now! With its catchy lyrics about colours and a really high pitched voice which I have mastered the art of!! It was this track alone that made Mika his fortune and weeks at number 1 in the charts. Good on’ya! ----------------------------- 2. Advantages: A wider range of music - amazing!
Disadvantages: May not appeal to all tastes. Fantastic tracks mean that other 'not-so-great' songs (not many) are unfairly compared.

Who is this guy? I have to say that I personally think he is absolutely brilliant and someone for us to focus on in 2007 - I really feel it is his year. I knew I had to have this album when I heard the musical genius masterpiece, that is his number one single Grace Kelly. This is just what I have been waiting for. His music mirrors aspects of Elton John, Freddie Mercury and Scissor Sisters; all of which I love already so he couldn't really go wrong ...
...'sunshine' music. It is bouncy, fun and he exudes eccentricity! You only have to see his album cover to know that you are instantly in for a really good album. It's worth listening to lyrics of Mika's tracks because sometimes however bizarre or fun they might sounds, they often ring quite true. Advantages: Catchy, upbeat and entertaining
Disadvantages: Not quite the greatest album ever made, a little repetitive in some places

Rarely does an album catch my attention enough to make me write about it. The last one to inspire a review was Lily Allen’s “Alright Still”, with its evocative mix of styles and innovative lyrics and her beautiful, lilting voice. Mika’s “Life In Cartoon Motion” album, however, captured my imagination enough this morning to make me forget all about vacuuming the pub before opening and instead sat at the bar tapping my foot along to its upbeat, entertaining ...
...in to my music collection thanks to Terry Wogan’s insistence that he play the hit single “Grace Kelly” repeatedly, every-single-bleeding-morning-at-7:30 when my alarm went off. Mika burst into the charts earlier this year with the amazing track "Grace Kelly" his style seems unique yet as you listen to his album you can pick up influences of many different bands. When I first heard "Grace Kelly" I thought it was the band Orson, until I made a point of finding the single. Life in a Cartoon Motion ( Universal) This camp and sound alike Freddie mercury has exploded on to the music scene this year and has already shot to number one with single Grace Kelly, which catapulted him to number one and superstardom. He could be around for a long time to come Life in a Cartoon is Mika's (pronounced Meeka) is his debut album. The 23 year old born in Lebanon could go along way. Some might say the further the better but if you like ...
...Mika has an Amazing voice and the album is full of tunes that are as catchy as hell. The CD makes a great start with Number one single Grace Kelly and is followed by Lollipop silly but bouncy. Another good song is Love Today definitely chart material. Billy Brown could also make the charts it's the story of a gay man who can't make his mind up if he wants men or women. ...Mika Life in Cartoon Motion Mika.....Some find him extremley annoying, others amusing. Overall this is a good debut album from the lebanom singer, it includes a total of 11 songs including his very popular hits Grace Kelly and Happy Endings, but none of the other songs fail to impress. Great tracks to actually listen to especially Billy Brown. People sometimes find that his songwriting sounds the same but if you listen to the words of his songs you will be pleasantley surprised!!!!!!! It is a very fun and energetic album and personallly i can't wait for his next song!!!!! I would definatley recommend the purchase of this album, very few would be disappointed, it isn't as expensive as other chart albums aswell, it is a great buy.... Read review

...appropriate that the first act to have a number one single on downloads alone is a man who was rejected by Simon Cowell. So, after that chart topping single, here is what is likely to be a chart topping album; Mika's "Life in Cartoon Motion". The album opens with the aforementioned number 1 single, "Grace Kelly". It's got a wonderful jaunty beat and bassline, but the opening parts seems to be little more than this, until it goes up a notch and turns into a Scissor Sisters style pop number which you can't help but tap your foot along to and sing along, all wrapped up in a wonderfully nonsensical lyric that gets into your head and refuses to let go and despite it being played virtually everywhere at the moment, it's a song I simply can't get tired of hearing. There's a change in style for "Lollipop", which has a little more of a Caribbean... Read review
