A new star has born if we have to talk about music. His artistic name is Mika, maybe whoever didn't listen him on the radio yet, could think that the artist is a girl because of the name, but the point is that he is a male singer-songwriter.
Mika made his debut with the record called "Life in Cartoon Motion" which came out in 2007. This collection of songs are very enjoyable and he had excelled himself up to now with four tracks as singles which are "Grace Kelly" as first single, "Big girl", "Relax" and "Happy ending".
I'd like to highlight that the kind of music that he shows in this compact disc is pretty playful even though sometimes some of the tracks could turn out somewhat ridiculous especially in the second track called "Lollipop" where Mika performs a duet with a kid.
The whole album has 10 songs as well as a bonus track called "Over my shoulder" and lasts nearly 45 minutes; besides if you have a conmputer at home, you could have the chance to watch an interactive track to get live tracks and video footage but for this you'll need also connection to internet.
The design of the "libretto" is very colourful and is full of pictures of cartoon quite funny as well as four photographs of him in person although is somewhat curious that only appear the lyrics of three of the songs.
Overall is a meaty record because you can hear touching ballads like "Happy ending" or "Any other world", even if you want to move your body you only have to play tracks like "Relax" or "Big girl" which both are very danceable. The sound is absolutely delightful with modern arrangements and the chorus are also pretty catchy.
My advice is that if you have dough and are interested, that collection of songs will be a good investment. On the other hand, if you lack money at least you should try to get it from a library, this way you could treasure the talent of this singer-songwriter.
Cheer up and get it!! These songs won't let you down!!

Advantages: A wider range of music - amazing! Disadvantages: May not appeal to all tastes. Fantastic tracks mean that other 'not-so-great' songs (not many) are unfairly compared.
