I spotted this category in the new opinions list earlier today. Goodness, does this one set the mind racing! How do you quantify your best year ever? I suppose you could choose the year your first child was born, but then were the births of subsequent children any less special? Life is punctuated by special events, such as marriage/s, births, graduations, passing your driving test or those all important exams at school. I expect we have all had more than one year in our lives when we have said ? that was the best year ever?. It probably was at the time- until the next one. As human beings we continue to grow as we travel through life, and I would sincerely hope that we do all have more than one year when we feel so wonderful that we say this is the best year of our life. Life in the Slow Lane

Advantages: It's short.
Disadvantages: The direction is dreadful, the writing offensive and the performances worse.

Carter and Lee are back! After an assassination attempt on an old friend, they are sent to Paris to look into the dealings of a dangerous group of Triads on behalf of Jules Reynard. But creepy Detective Revi doesn't want a couple of foreigners on his patch. Along the way, the mismatched duo come across as bevy of beautiful women, a blind kung fu master and a villain from Lee's past. Hack-for-hire Brett Ratner is back with the final nail in the coffin of the "Rush Hour" franchise. It's yet another sequel that shows the law of diminishing returns in action. Looking at any of the actors you know they only got involved because they could hear the cash registers ringing. The problem Ratner has it that he doesn't start from a solid premise. He appears to shoot the film around his stars' apparent talents. So expect plenty of fight scenes ...
