1.Twist A lot of heavy guitars, bass, drums and skat. As with Ball Tongue and numerous other songs Jonathan has said there are no lyrics. In other words the words may change a little whenever you hear it live. Its basically Jon ranting out all these words which dont make sense but i think its cool.
2.Chi Chi is about alot of alcohol and drug abuse. They named it after Chi Cheng from deftones. A nice explosive song which follows Twist perfectly.
3.Lost According to Jon the song meaning is- "It's the sterotypical thing about your best friend meeting a chick, and then you're nothing." A cool song with decent guitar riffs and a nice rough type of song.
4.Swallow This song is about paranoia, drug induced paranoia. A nice and hip start which leads to a fairly mellow verse and a fairly loud chorus which fits together well.
5.Porno Creep The only instrumental Korn song with a few spoken words. It seems that Porno Creep represents one or all of the band members, or even someone else. Notice how the self titled and Follow the Leader CD covers both feature pornography magazine covers. A fairly eerie song which is mystifying.
6.Good God It's about a guy who Jon met, who used Jon eg:he lived off him and made him do everything for him. Jon hasn't spoken to him for years. A cool funky song with some decent guitar riffs. One of my favourites.
7.Mr.Rogers When Jon was a bit of a speed freak he used to tape Mr.Rogers and watch it over and over and over and now Jon hates him,Jon had been working on this song for 3 months just tweaking it to get it right. Another decent song which flows well all the way through.
8.K@#O%! According to Jon its a song about him bitching about all of the women who have hurt him.A cool song which goes from normal/fast/normal etc. A good song but it isn't in my top 10.
9.No Place To Hide An awesome song! No Place to Hide appears to have various themes. One could be that while Jonathan exposes his painful past to the world he has no secrets left, and no comfort zones. He feels raped because Korn is becoming the next big thing and the media takes advantage of him pouring his soul out. This theme follows that of Freak On A Leash where he feels he is just used by the industry to make money. A good song which could of fitted well in the first album. One of my favourites.
10.Wicked Wicked, a song originally from Predator by Ice Cube, features guest vocals by Chino Moreno from the Deftones. A more of a hip hop/rock style of song. A good song but there are better ones on this album to listen to.
11.A.D.I.D.A.S All Day I Dream About Sex!!!!! You may also find a link to the adidas clothes which they always wear. A very popular song when it was released and it still remains as a favourite today.
12.Lowrider This song by original artist War was sung by Head on his birthday. The deep voice he uses is meant to imitate 80's rap artist Tone Loc.
13.Ass Itch A cool name for a song in my opinion. In the chorus it says, 'Before day, my sun will be dying'. It's because I put myself on the line all the time and for what? exclaims Jon. This was the last song which he wrote for the album.
14.Kill You The best song on the album by far. It should also be made as a KoRn classic. Performed brilliantly live. It's about a relative of jon who was really evil to him when he was little, eg:when he was ill she would feed him tabasco sauce (really hot chilli sauce). A strong song with deep lyrical meaning.
A great album but the self-titled album is KoRn at their best, but if you are a KoRn fan buy this album and if you arn't a major fan just buy it anyway, even if it's just for the songs such as ADIDAS and Kill you.
Advantages: Korn , Early Stuff, ADIDAS Disadvantages: A few unmemorable tracks
...released this great masterpiece. ? Life is peachy ? is an excellent album and is a must with all Korn Fans. With this album, Korn have delved deeper into the metal market, with this album there riffs and chords are more metaller than ever, even some influences from the underground black metal scene. The songwriting has improved a lot, and there are a bigger range for metal fans all out there. The riffs and chords might not be hard hitting, but the ... ...1. Twist - - - - - - - A very strange song none to say the least. Weird lyrics, well not really lyrics but a load of old shouting and mumbling. A funky but short song, a favourite in all korns minds as they always open their live shows with this one. Original piece of work. There are 2 versions, one without instruments and one with, the instrumental one has lots of whirring guitaring noises and heavy drumbeats, the un-instrumental gives fully effect ...

Advantages: Has some genuinely cool songs; stuff like "Chi" is wicked! Disadvantages: It is not as good as their previous album; has some mediocre moments; a bit gimmicky
After korn's debut album, nothing could really have improved.. it was an amazing, they were going to have to produce something really special to beat it.
Did they produce something special... not exactly
What they came up with instead is "Life Is peachy" opening with the track "Twist" (mentioned at the start of clown on the first album!!).
The scat talking is one of korn's trademarks and is very good, but you get the feeling on this album (with ... ...a gimmick than in the first. I would say although this album is perhaps angrier, more harsh than the first, it lacks the sludgy, depressing sound of the first, and some of the tracks are throwaways - a big minus in my point as one of the best elements of the first album was that it was perfect and had no tracks you had to wind forward. For example in "lowrider" Korn cover a (for lack of knowledge of the real name what is commonly known as) "that ...

Being the typical Satan worshipping teenager, I bought this album after first hearing KoRn in the single Falling Away From Me, while I was trying to escape from the endless supply of cheesy pop songs circulating at the time, and immediately fell in love with it. However, my family weren't as quick to understand my like for it, thus I was banished to my room to listen to it. Understandably though, as the constant swearing and loud beats would drive ... ...of the first rock albums I bought, and even though my collection has drastically increased, is still one of my favourites. Since I got it my dad has actually said he liked it, which proves that it's not only for us rebellious teenagers.
Lots of people think that KoRn are just a bunch of people screaming round a microphone whilst randomly hitting a few drums, but then they've not heard, or actually listened to any of the songs of lyrics. Their songs ...

Advantages: Bizarre use of Scat, A.D.I.D.A.S and a few other great tracks Disadvantages: Most of the tracks are 'mood' songs
...Korn decided to do with Life Is Peachy and it sets the mood of the whole album. With the exception of Porno Creep the entire album is about noise. Shouting, screeching, growling – you name it it’s on this album. At times it’s almost atonal and you really have to be in a certain mood to like this album. Having said that, there are a few tracks that I can always listen to. Good God, A.D.I.D.A.S, No Place to Hide, Wicked and Low Rider. But some tracks, ...

Advantages: Variety of music in one album Disadvantages: Too short!
This is a product well worth buying to complete your set, or to start your set of KoRn's eventful history. Songs like "A.D.I.D.A.S." and "Twist" do the album that extra bit more of listening pleasure. I think that they are in a gender of their own, you could say they range from Hardrock to hip hop, or as they are known to be called, Nu-metal. They coinside with the likes of Slipknot, Coal Chamber, and also Machine Head. Their other albums, are similar ...

Album Notes
LIFE IS PEACHY contains a CD-Extra video segment of Korn's performance at the Astoria Theater, London, England. Korn: Jonathan Davis (vocals, bagpipe); Head (guitar, background vocals); Munky (guitar); Fieldy (bass); David (drums). Additional personnel includes: Chino Moreno (vocals). Recorded at Indigo Ranch Studios, Malibu, California. "No Place To Hide" was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. Full of shrilly, distorted guitar squeals, bass-heavy darkness and laryngitis-inducing growls, Korn's sophomore turn, the oh-so sarcastically titled LIFE IS PEACHY, is a musical tour through some truly evil corners. The Bakersfield quintet's paranoia-induced rampage makes countless by-the-numbers death-metal acts seem cartoonish by comparison. Mostly, Korn succeeds in inspiring rage and terror by not overplaying its hand, and by mixing in hip-hop beats, punk abandon and funky humor with its thrash. Jonathan Davis croons as ably as he roars, making his "Exorcist" impression seem genuine when he does break into it. James "Munky" Shaffer's and Brian "Head" Welch's guitars never explode into bombastic faster-than-light solos; instead, they uphold the album's eerie textures by flying in and out of the mix like samples. And drummer David Silveria is as adept at reproducing the Latin percussion polyphony of War (on a metallic cover of that band's "Low Rider") as he is double-timing on his twin bass drums. Add it up, and LIFE IS PEACHY assembles into far more than your average declaration to Satan.
