Captain Scarlet followed hot on the heels of Gerry?s global success of Thunderbirds and he didn?t disappoint.

Captain Scarlet and Captain Black are on Mars when Capt Black, against Scarlets wishes fires upon a Martain base and destroys it.
The Martains or Mysterons immediately declare war on Earth.
Scarlet manages to escape but the Mysterons kill Capt Black and resurrect a duplicate of him to do their bidding.
He will be Scarlets nemesis for the rest of the series.
Scarlet is later killed by the Mysterons and his duplicate erected to work further sabotage but in an accident the duplicate is itself killed.
But then something strange ...
