Axl Rose once admitted that the only reason that Guns n' Roses became successful was because of the void in the market that had been left empty by the demise of HanoiRocks. There may be other reasons for the formers success but it is easy to see HanoiRocks as the instigators of a whole glam/hard rock scene that spawned not only Axls band but the likes of Faster Pussycat, Bang Tango and L.A Guns. Managing to mix a glam image, hard rock cool and a punk attitude, Hanoirocks posed and preened their way from being a small time Finnish novelty to darlings of the British rock scene and finally to a global super group. Studio albums never seemed to do justice to the powerhouse of energy that drove the band, but their live shows were a otherworldly experience, an ultimate high of pure adrenalin and 1985s "All those Wasted Years" went some way ...

A supermarket corridor?? is a great line, and then a female singer joins in with Monroe?s vocals to make this a lot sweeter than those overblown rock love tunes. Like Bon Jovi ? who I really dig but SETTLE DOWN JON! The 80?s are over, you lost! This track may just convert you to the Rocks.
8. Lightnin? BarBlues
Not an ultra-blues effort like Track #6, but more of a pub sing-a-long. Sounds as bluesy from the intro as Graham Norton seems like a womaniser. Graham Norton likes Dolly Parton. This sounds a little country & western. What a link back to the subject at hand! All about Monroe foregoing all worldly possession in favour of drinking wine in a bar. Good man ? well, except the wine. Blark! I?d rather drink porcupine p*ss.
