... Some song (such as track 3 "Down on my head") reminds me of a greenday sound, which i enjoy! The CD opens with this ackward piano solo on track 1, entitled "Three Flights Up" which sort of lets you down easy and calms the nerves it seems so that when track 2 "Lights and sounds" hits you, ... Advantages: Same Great Sound, Great CD ART Disadvantages: Computer Usability
...knowing it was yellowcard : lights and sounds. After seeing the artist name i promptly made a break for the counter only crushing one small child on my way to the till. The is an image of the band that appears to been torn into 4 peices and layed back together, it is a fantasic look that is carried out throughout the entirety of the CD booklet. I think it looks fantastic! and suits the music it narrates. I am please that the lyrics are included in ... ...and directions, it really makes it fun to read along with the catchy and captivating songs on this latest release from Yellowcard.
The music is typical yellowcard; a smooth variety of rock - some loud and "head banger" music as my mom would say, and others calming and relaxing. Some song (such as track 3 "Down on my head") reminds me of a greenday sound, which i enjoy! The CD opens with this ackward piano solo on track 1, entitled "Three Flights ...

Advantages: Some really strong songs Disadvantages: Not enough songs
...of this album must be Lights and Sounds, Rough Landing Holly, How I Go and Hollywood Died. Amazing lyrics and a full sound, this is without a doubt one of their best releases, which, following songs such as Ocean Avenue and Way Away is a great achievement. For any Yellowcard fan this is a great album and for anyone who has not yet enocuntered thier magic, where have you been? One of best bands of their genre alongside Blink 182 and Simple Plan! So ...

Advantages: No bad tracks Disadvantages: Too immature for some
...shows how strong Pierre's vocals can be and their lyrical talents. The second song I heard from them was similar to I'd Do Anything in sound but equally brilliant. I'm Just A Kid summed up exactly how I was feeling at the time. The typical teenage 'the world's against me, what do I do?' kinda thing. Even though I've grown out of that, my views on the song have not changed. Another thing I've come to realise is how similar Pierre's voice is to Ryan, Yellowcard's vocalist and SP's sound is similar to Yellowcard's pre-Lights and Sounds days, so if you are a YC fan then you might like these. As an extra to this album, which is an ECD, two videos are included, I'd Do Anything and I'm Just A Kid which is pretty damn cool.
Tracklisting:
1. I'd Do Anything
2. Worst Day Ever
3. You Don't Mean Anything
4. I'm Just a Kid

Album Notes: Fourth album from violin-toting pop-punk quintet follows 2004's 'Ocean Avenue'. On this second major-label release they continue to refine their sound, adding jazzy guitars and power ballads to the mix, and, taking full advantage of their increased budget, allow violinist Sean Mackin free rein to cover the album with epic string arrangements. Includes the title-track single.
