Liguria - Baiardo And Imperia (The Alan Lomax Collection) - Various Artists

Advantages: 2 CDs - bought it cheap from ebay - lots of songs
Disadvantages: had most of the songs anyway!

...This is a 2 CD album, i bought it dead cheap on ebay (about £3) - it's prob loads more expensive in the shops!!.. features loads of artists and songs - i'll go through as much of them as i can!!!.. Ok - CD 1.. First there is 'Off The Wall - Michael Jackson' - i like MJ so i think this is a good choice of song.. 'I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) - Michael, George & Aretha Franklin' - was a bit surprised about this song being on an RnB collection - even though Aretha is very soul/RnB - i would not have put this song in an RnB collection & plus i dont particularly think this is a very good song anyway (sorry any G Micheal fans!).. then we have 'Crazy In Love (no rap version) - Beyonce' - i absolutely hate this song now! it's been heard and played way too much and doesnt deserve to be on this album! im sure it is already... Advantages: Beautiful and atmospheric
Disadvantages: Too short and not for everybody

...of classical with occasionally a bit of folk and sometimes some (very) soft rock, all depending on the artist(s)/composer(s). This isn't necessarily what it is, but I feel it's a good way to give you an impression of what Celtic music is. This album consists of what is dubbed as "The Celtic Collection". I don't really know any other Celtic music other than what's on this album so this may be some of the best Celtic tracks every composed. It is a compilation of some truly impressive tunes from some great artists. THE TRACKS 1 - James Galway & Phil Coulter - Callin Na Gruaige Baine - The intro to the album is a slow, calm, with quite strings and some calm but good singing. As the title suggests, this isn't in English but that adds to the effect. What you'll find is that some of the better tracks are those that don't have English lyrics... Read review

Advantages: amazing compilation of songs
Disadvantages: a few not to my taste, only a bare amount

...A wonderful collection of purely acoustic songs. Inlucding the likes of James Blunt, David Gray, Maroon 5, Eva Cassidy, Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and many more. Included in the album are two seperate cds, each as good as each other i especially like the fact there are 19 tracks to each cd which brings the total number of tracks to 38. The only downside could be that there were a few songs that i didnt recognise but have grown to like through various listens. An amazing compilation of tracks including information on various artists albums whose tracks are includded on the cd. I would definitely recoommend this album as it had enhanced some very nice emotions and created a very calmly atmosphere for either daytime or before you hit the hay.
