...During the late nineties, there were a couple of American big budget films made about an asteroid heading towards Earth. Deep Impact was one of these movies. Deep Impact is about a comet that is on a collision course with Earth and will result in mass destruction and extinction of the human race. A news reporter Jenny Lerner (Tea Leoni), stumbles upon this story by accident, whilst investigating a high level government officials, suspicious resignation. The US Preseident, Tom Beck (Morgan Freeman), initiates a plan to launch a spaceship into orbit to attempt to destroy the comet into smaller safer pieces. As a back-up plan, he also randomly selects 1 million people who will relocate to specially designed caves in order to save the population from extinction. ...You had better be careful if you come to play with me today. The Lions are out! I opened that packet of playmobil lions we got from the playmobil site http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-GB-Site/enGB/Product-Sho w?pid=7895&cgid= they cost about £7. These lions are an addition to the zoo set but could be used for circus play too. There are 4 lions a female lion a male lion and 2 identical lion cubs. These lions are made of a golden coloured plastic. The male has a brown mane. The animals all have brown eyes and noses. The male and females jaws are open wide. The heads of all the animals can be moved up and down, where the necks of all the animals join the body they are jointed. The lions all have an elegant golden body and 4 legs. ...the wilds of Kenya with the controversial conservationist George Adamson. They board the plane to Kenya and the urban lion is initially confused by the sights and sounds of a foreign land. He has a massive power struggle with dominant male lion Boy who later killed a man and was shot. Will this London lion learn to live in the wild or has his party life in London made him unable to acclimatise to life with other lions. I initially saw the film "A Lion Called Christian" on the shelves of ASDA and the picture of the front of a lion leaning out of a sports car with two men sitting either side of him immediately grabbed my interest. I read the back of the box and it said the film was made after a clip of Christian on YouTube had become an internet sensation.
