...After listening to Lisa-Lee Darks new album release "Breath of Life," at www.cdvmusic.com/lisalee/ I was astounded by the range and tone of her voice, which is so Similar to her great, great, great auntie Adelina Pattie ( World Famous opera singer). Lisa-Lee is sure to follow in her aunties footsteps, as one of the best British sopranos of the 21st Century. I was amazed how poppy sounding this album is. The Breath of Life album, features warm strings, heavenly choirs and ambient textures. 2 of the songs demonstrate a contemporary groove which cleverly support Lisas well crafted classical arrangements. Fortunately the album is straight ahead classical and has a Lord of the rings dreamy filmic angle to a couple of the arrangements. Over all the sound is unintrusive and easy on the ear and would be ideal for dinner parties... Read review

Advantages: good old hardhouse tunes
Disadvantages: softened up to be slighty commercial.....

...as a true hardhouse & trance fan i feel that this has converted some of the best tunes from the hardhouse scene past and present and made them slightly too commercial. as much as i respect lisa lashes as a dj i wasn't as impressed as i thought and hoped i would be when i saw the tracklist on this cd pack. Certain tracks remind me more of the doink genre! - good old scouse house feel, however if you collect the euphorias i would still add it to the collection - who knows when it may come in handy at an after party dont buy this if your after full on hardhouse or harddance tracks even though contributing artists include hardhouse legends like Tony De Vit, BK, Glazby and Lisa Lashes herself... Advantages: contains some great r & b tracks with some powerful messages at times
Disadvantages: may alienate So Solid Crew fans (are there any???), a few weaker tracks, not much of a commercial success

...the Intro (not a fan of these things at all), the opening track is the utterly fantastic "All Over", which will instantly make you want to get your ass on the imaginary dancefloor and shake it all around. Rowdy, hot and with a jingling hook which can't fail to get your attention, the song is basically about being out with your girls in a club and having a fantastic time. Lisa isn't a rapper, but the way she sings so quickly reminds me of someone rapping - she fits a hell of a lot of words into one line, yet it sounds much sweeter and more lyrical than a rap. She namedrops designer names - both of clothes (Dior) and champagne (Cristal) - and has adapted a Snoop Dog sample to fit her own name. I'm loathe to use the word "Slammin'" to describe a song (it just doesn't sound right in a scottish accent, I'm afraid!) but if I did use the word, it would... Read review
