I have always been keen on classical music ever since we were spoonfed it at school. When I was in the sixth form I had some spare time and was advised to pass some of it listening to those rare things called LP's -vinyl.
I think the first thing we were played, back in 1958, would be the 1812 Overture, by Tchaikovsky. It took a bit of time to adapt ourselves to this sort of music, bearing in mind that at home we were playing the latest Cliff Richard and Elvis records! However I think that every time I hear this music I will always remember those school days.
The last two months of school time brought along the second piece. Holst -The Planets Suite. There were about ten of us in this music group and I think we all enjoyed our introduction to the classics. We thought ourselves superior!

On a never ending quest to improve my computer set up I decided I needed to purchase a DVD recorder drive of some sort.
