The Jonas Brothers are a rock/pop group, who are relatively new (a couple of years active). The band became popular because of the Disney Channel. Doing concerts in both America and Europe.
The band is made up of three brothers: Joseph Jonas: 18 years old lead singer and tambourine man, Paul Kevin Jonas: 21 years old guitar and mandolin man and Nick Jonas: 15 years old guitar, co-lead vocals, piano and drums.
"A Little Bit Longer" is the Jonas Brothers third album, the others being "The Jonas Brothers" and "Its about Time". The album is names after one of the songs which Nick Jonas wrote about his Diabetes.
They play a variety of instruments in the album "A Little Bit Longer", making the tracks vary.
The CD is brought to you be CD VU, they are pretty good as they allow you to get closer to the band. Giving you loads of pictures, videos
and lyrics to the songs, along with the CD. Also background pictures for your computer.
I believe that this album is very good, owning it myself. Kevin Jonas uses the mandolin in one of the tracks making it one of my favourite: Love Bug.
The Tracks
BB Good: This is a up beat song, sung by Nick and Joe. With a catchy chorus. About being with girls and being good to each other, ~i know cute~. A few speaky parts and Joe adding a few parts to it, to make it unique. Clear guitar playing, chords and such.
Burnin' Up: The first single released of the album, catchy chorus again. About falling in love. Guitar can clearly be heard throughout the track. Small rapping part near the end by Big Rob.
Shelf: A cute song about not abusing love. Sung by Nick mostly, meaning the song is higher. Guitar and drums, backing vocals at parts in the song. Not reducing the quality of the song.
One Man Show: Up beat song, sung mostly by Joe. Catchy and something you can dance too. The name says it all. Original beat, and good lyrics.
Lovebug: One of my favourites, and the second single released, after the release of the album. The name says it all, catching a "love bug", like cough cough. Mandolin used in this song, both Joe and Nick share the singing. Calming and like a hawaian song, drifting in the wind.
Tonight: This song is really up beat and catchy, i really love it. Sung mostly by Nick, its about... tonight. The chorus is really good, the best part of the song.
Can't have you: A slow song, kind of slow and low at the beginning. Sung by Joe, it gets better as you progress, where Nick sings. The song over all is cute, as its about not having someone you like. The chorus is more up beat than the verses, but is still low. It is one out of three slow songs on the album.
Video Girl: Really up beat, with a crazy beginning "O.M.G Im dating a Jonas Brother". The vocals are shared by both Nick and Joe. About not falling for 'fake' people. Synths used in this song a lot, allowing it to be dancy.
Pushin' Me Away: Synths starting you off, quite up-beat, I dont like this song that much, I don't like the chorus, but the rest of the song is okay. Joe sings mostly.
Sorry: Another slow song, the name tells all. This song sounds really familiar to something I have heard before. But I will let you make your mind up about that. I think some wind instruments are used in the song, and probably a string instrument or something synthetic.
Got Me Going Crazy: Up-beat, I dont really like this song, its just about girls making guys go crazy. No special instruments and the vocals is shared between Joe and Nick.
A Little Bit Longer: This is the lovelist song, as it is about Nick's illness, so it feels from the heart. It is slow because they want to obviously portray the sadness, and the hope. Nick uses his brillant piano skills, and he is the only singer on the track, making it more personal.
Some albums contain bonus songs Live to Party and a cover of the Beatles song, Hello Goodbye.
Overall, I love this album, as it mixes up, up-beat and down-beat songs. It is also very "Jonas" making it better, because I wouldn't want them to change.
