Apart from maybe; '22 Acacia Avenue' and 'Die with your boots on', these are all stone-cold classics, finishing with the awesome 'Phantom of the Opera'. The sound quality is very good, and they include Bruce's little comments to the crowd, including the infamous; "Screeeeaammm for me Longbeach!" Recorded at two venues in America, Live After Death features all the Iron Maiden classic tracks from the original couple of albums - the BEST tracks. Forget the more recent rubbish, the ones to listen out for are from the early 80s when the band were fresh and not so commercial and complacently living on past success. Iron Maiden are one of those bands who come alive on stage, whilst sounding a little flat and uninspiring on record, not least due to the poor production quality on the earlier albums. As this album was released pre cd (or at least at the very start of the cd revolution) its not actually as good as the record or tape versions as there are several tracks missing. Having said that the track listing is a whos who of early maiden despite dickenson being in the band instead of paul dianno.
