An outstanding album from an amazing sounding lady, as live albums go this is one of my top choices, the songs are beautiful ,full of passion and soul, you cannot listen to this album without being touched by Eva's sublime voice.As female artists go Eva is my favorite, there is not one song on this album that i think "i'll fast forward this one". Her band do her a lot of justce as everything just fits together nicely. For me the stand out tracks are "Stormy Monday" , "Tall Trees of Georgia", and " Oh Had I a Golden Thread" , I like to listen to this with all the lights off and just sitting on the settee and just soak up the atmosphere. The only annoying thing on the album is the person who insists on tapping there glass whilst Eva sings tall trees in georgia,it must have been picked up by an atmos mic, i could slap whoever it was.
The whole feeling of the album just brings a nice sense of warmth and happiness to me it really is just outstanding. Want an album to relax to? this should be high on anyones list.
A shame then that Eva passed away 10 years ago, a great loss for sure.
