Advantages: Hilarious throughout, lengthy performance Disadvantages: Lacking in extra features
Jack Dee has been one of Britains finest stand up comedians for the best part of ten years. His deadpan style makes for a real distinctive show which you're unlikely to find anywhere else, at least, not performed as well as this.
With an uncanny eye for picking out mundane aspects of our everybody lives, Jack delivers an acute take with his own intrepretations and solutions to some of our problems. Having matured from his early performances somewhat, Jack had just entered his 40's at the time of the show and his older age fits in perfectly with the deadpan style which he utilizes so effectively.
Filmed at the Hammersmith Apollo, Jack runs us through 80 minutes worth of material which will have you giggling at first and laughing on the floor in the later stages as his tone really takes over. He comes across as a depressive grumbler ...
Advantages: nice building, non smoking, cheap beer Disadvantages: selection of real ales is small
When one is asked to think of a Manchester pub, the last thing they would think of is a half timbered building dating from before the Industrial Revolution. They would more likely think of a back street terraced pub such as the Rovers Return. However Sinclair?s Oyster Bar is a lovely half timbered building dating from the 1700s which would fit nicely in somewhere like Chester or York rather than Manchester.
Sinclair?s is tucked away upon New Cathedral Street next to the Triangle shopping centre and across the square from the posh shops such as Harvey Nics and Selftidges. Next door is the more ancient Old Wellington Inn. It?s a lovely old building that has an interesting past. I believe it has been moved piece by piece twice once to raise its height and the second time after the IRA bomb of 1996.

Live at Her Majesty's Theatre
Lee Evans is probably one of the best British comedians out there. His slapstick style jokes and his comedic delivery shoots him right to the top of the list of must see comics.

Lee Evans was born in Bristol in1964, in Avon mouth. Lee started off as a boxer, but soon realised his passion for comedy and after leaving arts School he spent six years touring clubs across the UK whilst building his reputation as an up an coming comic. In the Late 1980's he became a regular showing at the Edinburgh festival where he earned a much more wide spread acclaim for his iconic performances, which later lead to him winning the prestigious Perrier Award.
