disbanded by the record's 1968 release. Four decades later, eternal versions of that album's "This Will Be Our Year," "A Rose for Emily," "Beechwood Park," "Care of Cell 44," and "Time of the Season" make this 25-song live reunion of founding members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent worth the effort. Though no other Zombie was aboard for the 2004 project (including underrated guitarist/vocalist Chris White), Argent's burning keyboards, Blunstone's inimitable voice, and skilled backing musicians assure that the entire band receives its due, particularly on the Odessey selections and nuggets from the singles collection, including Argent's "Tell Her No" and "Indication," Blunstone's "Just Out of Reach," and White's "I Love You." The harmonic backing vocals that littered the Zombies catalog are astoundingly intact, with only the occasional ramble into Argent's eponymous post-Zombies band (remember "Hold Your Head Up"?) left to clutter the sequencing. (A 16-song DVD of performances from the Bloomsbury Theatre show is also available, including multiple camera angles, immaculate sound, and four of the CD's five Odessey and Oracle numbers.) --Scott Holter

fruits including oranges , grapefruits, melon, pineapple, mango, apple/pear compote, berry compote, yoghurt, bacon, sausages, baked beans, black pudding, hash browns, mushrooms, eggs scrambled or fried and tomatoes. All very very nice and hot drinks served at the table and topped up for you. Fruit juices were self serve. The restaurant was spacious, modern and comfortable.
There was car parking below at I believe about £17 per day which we didn't use as we arrived by train. There was a Fitness first Gym that was free 8-12 noon outside the front of the hotel and down stairs or lift. Room service 24 hours. Hotel mostly air- conditioned (our room was but we had the window open instead).
We really enjoyed our stay at this well positioned hotel which was clean, friendly and welcoming. Go for it. www.london-bloomsbury.holiday-inn.com ...
Advantages: Cheap, great decor, friendly staff, breakfast Disadvantages: Poor view from room
My partner and I, along with a small group of friends decided to book a weekend away in London through a local coach company and were placed at The Holiday Inn – Bloomsbury for our two night stay. We paid £105 for two nights including our coach travel to and from London.
When we arrived we were impressed by the exterior and found the hotel lobby / reception area to be light, airy, contemporary and inviting. Check in was swift considering they had a couple of coach loads to attend to and the staff were very polite and friendly.
We were then given a key (well a card) and room numbers and went to our rooms to get settled in. We were all quite excited albeit a bit hot and bothered as the journey had been quite a long one (we were travelling from East Yorkshire). When we got to our room we put the card into the slot ...
Advantages: Near the west end Disadvantages: lots, very uncomfortable stay
Gresham Hotel
Oh my goodness me!
I really hate to slate anything or anybody but this really was the worst place I have stayed in for a long time. I am going to start with the positives and work my way down.
This is a review about the hotel itself, rather than a tourist?s guide as I originally a Londoner (now relocated) who likes to use hotels when visiting family and friends. I don?t really do a lot of the tourist thing when I go to London.
Just a little about my own travel experience.
I am used to basic accommodation; I have stayed in the Regent Palace notoriously basic, alas no longer with us! I also am used to basic self catering holidays; I expect cleanliness, politeness, security and the basic of basics?toilet paper, a toilet seat, a light?

Album Notes
Although the Zombies were known for their ethereal, jazzy take on British Invasion pop ("She's Not There") and chamber-rock psychedelia (the classic ODYSSEY AND ORACLE), keyboardist and musical leader Rod Argent went on to form the successful, hard-rocking Argent. Counting Argent drummer Jim Rodford, this reunion has as many original members of that band as of the Zombies (singer Colin Blunstone, sounding as wistful as ever, is the other Zombies returnee), which is part of why this 2005 live reunion gig at London's Bloomsbury Theatre includes so many Argent songs alongside the requisite Zombies hits. Still, the set list works and will certainly please Rod Argent fanatics.
