Advantages: Great blues! Disadvantages: None. Whatsoever.
...I have to admit I found JohnnyWinter totally by chance. I was in a record shop and saw a CD in a round, metal case. "JohnnyWinter? The Texas Tornado? I'll buy that!" So I did.
What I found was a musician, JohnnyWinter, who is a hard rocking bluesman of consummate skill. JohnnyWinter is such a accomplished bluesman that I have to admit that it came as something of a shock to discover that JohnnyWinter is a white Texan. Though he reveals that he hung out in the black part of his hometown in Texas, such was his fever for the blues. And, Winter maintains that it was his sincerity about his passion for the blues that meant that he was safe there. Even though Beaumont had not long before suffered form some terrible racially-inspired riots.
Winter's blue's sound as if they were recorded in the 1940s or 1950s. Actually, I...

A very sad, affecting album made all the more so by the fact that poor Johnny knew he was dying when he recorded this album. Rarely is there a drumbeat or anything electronic involved here, it's mainly cellos and other strings and acoustic and steel guitars everywhere. Of course, this isn't an album for everyone and - like your grandad on her deathbed - you may not wish to visit it and just remember him as he used to be. In which case, check out these Johnny Cash classics:
-Live At Folsom Prison
-Johnny Cash At San Quentin
-The...

Advantages: DVD included in price, great audio/visual quality Disadvantages: None
...When this album came out I just had to buy it. A dedicated Linkin Park fan like myself with the opportunity to have this, didn't take me long to decide to get it.
I feel that when Linkin Park come on the radio or the TV you can tell their songs staright off. In my opinion this music is definitely original, I cannot think of other bands with music like this.
Been a musician I find Linkin Park's music great to learn to play, this album is a great help with the live harmonies and performances. This is a must buy for all rock musicians.
Quality of the DVD is exceptional, a couple of jumps between songs due to the dual-layer format of the DVD (who cares about them though). The CD is equally as good.
I marked not applicable for "how does it compare to the artists other releases" because this is their first live CD and DVD...
