. This track seems to prove that Deep Purple has the authority to go heavy metal. The timing of the instruments is good. This is not my favorite track in this album but I don't mind listening to this one. The Album Deep Purple Made In Europe is a live album released in 1976 after the members disbanded. It contains 5 tracks which were recorded in 1975. This album underwent extensive editing in recording due to overwhelming applause, whistling and crowd noise while Deep Purple performed the songs. I accidentally got this album in a Christmas party 6 years ago. It was meant to be given to a man. The supposedly recipient of this CD wasn't able to attend the party. To make the long story short, this CD ended up in my possession. It was Christmas so I didn't complain at all. This album is good but not the best. I would have appreciated ...

Deepest Purple

Advantages: Great mixture of songs
Disadvantages: burn should have been live

this is the ultimate driving song and i have never been without it in my car. A song about speed and daring it has everything and its a must on a sunny day when driving wherever. 8)Space Trucking... Also taken from the number 1 'Machine Head' album its heavy use of keyboard and drums is fantastic and its lyrics are about space travel around the universe and milky ways and so on.Not the most inspiring to be fair but enjoyable nonetheless. 9)Burn... Taken from the number 3 chart album of the same name in 1974 this was always my favourite song and still is to date in the Deep Purple catalogue. Im still yet to understand the lyrics but that has never mattered to me because musically its a fantastic tune.Sadly the studio version is not a touch on the live version from the album 'Made In Europe' but still great all the same. 10 ...

Essential Deep Purple

Advantages: Contains well loved, classic, Purple tracks
Disadvantages: There are a couple of songs not to my personal taste

Deep Purple were one of the first heavy metal bands and this greatest hits album shows some of their evolution from a softer more ballad-like sound to some seriously rocking heavy tracks. No one who enjoys hard rock could be without some Deep Purple. Singers David Coverdale (who went on to form White Snake) and Ian Gillan (whose band was called Gillan) went on to have enormously successful careers after leaving Purple, yet they will always be best respected for their work while members of this influential band. Probably the most easily recognised guitare riff in rock history is that of Smoke On the Water, an all-time favourite track for many fans of the genre.
