Advantages: great big band music Disadvantages: none
The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK was founded by Ray McVay in the 80's . This was done after talks with the Glenn Miller Estate, who had listened to many of Ray McVay's tracks.
Who is Ray McVay?
Ray McVay was born in the late 30's in Scotland. He became a professional musician at the tender age of 13 as a rocking sax player. In the 50's he became a music director for many big names such as Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Conway Twitty and Billy Fury.
As Rays name got bigger and better known in the music industry, and fronted his own show band known as the Ray McVay Orchestra. He started to play for the Mecca Organization playing around the country before headlining at Mecca's big venue, the Lyceum Ballroom in London's west end.. Ray McVay then became a household name in the UK when he was featured on the TV ...
Advantages: Very easy To Listen Too Disadvantages: Quite Melancholy
White Ladder by David Gray was released in the UK in the Spring of 2000, although it had been available in Ireland since 1998 where it had attracted rave reviews and a cult following.
It is a collection of 10 tracks with a very laid back acoustic feel. The songs themselves are quite bittersweet and poetic covering most emotions from love, passion and anger.
Listening to the superb quality of the tracks on the CD it is hard to believe that this, his fourth album and most commercially successful to date was actually self financed and released on his own record label IHT, as David had been dropped by his record label shortly after the release of his previous album.
It was recorded in the bedroom of his London flat with the windows open and cars, lorries and buses rumbling past?..

My sister has been living in Toronto, Canada, for a few years, and I had the chance to visit her twice. We went to very beautiful places while I was there, but one of my favourites is this one, CasaLoma (the Spanish translation of "The house on the hill").
...:: ABOUT CASALOMA ::...
CasaLoma was built by a Canadian millionaire, Sir Henry Pellatt. He entrusted the arquitect E.J. Lennox with the construction of a medieval castle. The construction works lasted from 1911 to 1914, and about 300 people were necessary to carry them out. The total amount of money Sir Henry spent to build CasaLoma was about 3,500,000 dollars.
Sir Henry lived in CasaLoma with his wife less than 10 years. He was ruined and had to leave the castle. Now it is owned by the city of Toronto.
