I would thoroughly recommend this album to anyone interested in either rock or blues - it may even appeal to country fans, as Stevie has somewhat of an 'Austin-twang' to his playing. Guitarists and non-guitarists alike should find 'Texas Flood' an enjoyable addition to their collection. ...When this album came out I just had to buy it. A dedicated Linkin Park fan like myself with the opportunity to have this, didn't take me long to decide to get it. I feel that when Linkin Park come on the radio or the TV you can tell their songs staright off. In my opinion this music is definitely original, I cannot think of other bands with music like this. Been a musician I find Linkin Park's music great to learn to play, this album is a great help with the live harmonies and performances. This is a must buy for all rock musicians. Quality of the DVD is exceptional, a couple of jumps between songs due to the dual-layer format of the DVD (who cares about them though). The CD is equally as good. ...Every so often in the world of music something comes along that completely blows you away. Elvis Presley and The Sex Pistols are two such examples that opened up a whole new musical landscape to explore. To a lesser extent you have mavericks like Captain Beefheart and The Fall who plough strange furrows in alternate musical universes while producing some absolutely stunning music. Lift To Experience will probable fall towards the latter category. I’ve read reviews of their debut album, nothing less than five stars from all the music journals that I’ve come across.
