It's a rare thing when you can go home again... The Seekers are a too often underrecognised force in pop music. Supremely talented and driven by the transcendent voice of Judith Durham, they miraculously reunite after 25 years and, get this, are better than ever. Age and perspective brings a subtle maturity and irony to their voices and presentation. Each is gifted in his/her own right and together they create a unique and yes, magical chemistry that defies time and trends. The songs are performed with a passionate affection and respect for the original arrangements and memories. As a special treat, check out their studio album from the late 90s, "Future Road." Sublime in my humble opinion. A welcome relief of harmony, melody and acoustic layers from the synthesized, shallow garbage that pervades pop culture today. ...

There's also a 'Live Commentary Track' where you can hear the band's reactions on watching the DVD through - to be honest, it's pretty pointless - nothing particularly interesting is said, there's a lot of silence, occasional phones going off - you're betting off just watching the concert and enjoying the music!
Overall, like I say, this is a pretty good concert. Highlights for me include some interesting versions of the 'Musical Box' and 'The Lamb', and 'Firth Of Fifth' is always pretty awesome to see. The other songs are good, well played, but I'd possibly advise people to go for the latest 'When In Rome' DVD instead - it's got exactly the same member lineup, but with better quality visuals, and a set list which includes epics such as a 'In The Cage' and 'Cinema Show', as well as better bonus ...

LivingIn Oblivion is a low budget independent film written and directed by Tom DiCillo and starring Steve Buscemi and Dermot Mulroney.
Sure, these aren't A-list stars, but that lends itself to the story. If it was a film about the making of a film and you had George Clooney and Brad Pitt pretending to be small time actors you wouldn't believe it. That's why it was better to use less well known actors, it pulls you more into the story.
The film takes place during one day on set of a low budget movie, and documents all the problems that the director, Nick (Buscemi), and everyone else can encounter, from equipment malfunctioning to office politics to actors forgetting their lines. It's almost like a documentary, it is very realistic and gives you the complete story as to what it's like trying to get a film made.
