Advantages: Great quality, Great music and untouched from the movie!
Disadvantages: Very different from other Harry Potter movies so won't appeal to everyone

...**What Is It?** Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix - Chamber Orchestra Of London CD is the original, unaltered soundtrack to go with the new Harry Potter movie. It is composed by the talented Nicholos Hooper. **Why Buy The Soundtrack?** This unaltered soundtrack can be bought for any Harry Potter fan or classical music fan. If you have seen the movie, then you will rememeber the music and then rememeber your favourite scenes better. Thats my theory and one of the reasons i bought it. Another reason to buy it is the price, its not bad at all. **Is It Differerent To Other Potter Movies?** This in my opion, is very different to ast Harry Potter soundtracks. Having owning each one myself, there is a very big comparison between this one and the Philosphers Stone soundtrack. This has very dark, even scary music while the first... Read review

Advantages: Shows Williams at the top of his form as regards the Harry Potter series
Disadvantages: With so much new material, the old themes have been almost completely omitted

...of the film, being more cold and melancholy than the previous entries. The music lives very much in the moment, with no thematic material allotted to the central new characters like Sirius Black or Lupin. Instead the music is used in depicting different characters and incidents individually, corresponding with the general atmosphere of the whole. This approach works surprisingly well, with the instrumentation and mood of the music sustaining cohesion without falling into the usual Wagnerian use of leitmotivs. However it is curious to notice that there is hardly any reference to the old established themes from the previous scores. "Hedwig's theme" makes only a couple of appearances, with the Nimbus/Quidditch theme appearing only once. Without these brief references it would be very hard to link this score with Harry Potter, so utterly different... Read review
