Great an up close look at a band who is passionate about their music. The DVD has some off-stage sound bites and lots of on-stage action shots. The bands seems to have the big tough Metallica fans prancing happily in the Mosh Pit throughout the show which ya gotta give it linkin park cos this difficult to do. take time to notice the text and art on the actual CDs themselves - - which is reallly cool.
1. Don't Stay great slow motion footage during the intro. the crowd is immediately into the show.
2. Somewhere I Belong the band showcases their strong vocal talent here. The mix between DJ, guitar, bass, vocals is amazing.
3. Lying From You not mixed very well which is Too bad cos its a really Good song.
4. Papercut vocals get lost in the music here, again. Great lyrics in the studio version.
5. Points of Authority back on the right track here. Decent mix. Soaring vocals.
6. Runaway great teamwork and harmony by the whole band.
7. Faint solid video editing on this track. but still remains my favourite track of theirs
8. From the Inside very powerful song and sounds even better live.
9. Figure classic LP not really much to comment on as i dont like this track
10. With You sonic scream kicks this one off. Standard mix of rap, hip-hop, and rock.
11. By Myself unlike some many nu-metal bands, the members of Linkin Park seem to really enjoy each other as friends. This video/song captures the bands, like mindedness.
12. Pushng Me Away techno influence here. dj is really good
13. Numb True talent showcased here.
14. Crawling crowd is definitely won over by this point in the show - crowd sings along with the band.
15. In the End Great energy, drive, totally kicks it! Great mix of techno, rap, hip-hop, etc. which is uniquely Linkin Park.
16. A Place for My Head great close-ups of the mosh pit. i so wish i was there
17. One Step Closer Linkin Parks first hit closes the show. Interesting slow-mo and fast action editing.

Advantages: DVD included in price, great audio/visual quality Disadvantages: None
...a great help with the live harmonies and performances. This is a must buy for all rock musicians.
Quality of the DVD is exceptional, a couple of jumps between songs due to the dual-layer format of the DVD (who cares about them though). The CD is equally as good.
I marked not applicable for "how does it compare to the artists other releases" because this is their first live CD and DVD. For this reason I find it unfair to comment on this.
Competition ... ...a greatest hits collection in live format (super idea).
Not much of a graphic designer/artist, I don't feel that I can comment on the cover design and inlay much but they are both pretty good.
Super value for money. This cost me around £15 for the CD and DVD. Bought this from Virgin Megastores here in the UK. Would recommend this album to anyone interested in this genre of music, live music or just Linkin Park fans. ...

Advantages: Great footage of band, played well live Disadvantages: Cd doesn't have all tracks from dvd
...of their best songs played live such as "One Step Closer", "Numb" and "Faint" plus many more the camara are of high quality, it was filmed in Texas (duuhh!). The singer (Chester) also talks sometimes between songs which gives you an insight into him. The live performance is very good it's what you would expect from a band who have been going for so long at a high level.
Sadly the dvd has no extras, although it does have a cd which is just tracks ...

Additional notes
Album Notes: Includes bonus DVD. This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Linkin Park: Mike Shinoda (vocals, emcee, samples); Chester Bennington (vocals); Brad Delson (guitar, background vocals); Phoenix (bass, background vocals); Rob Bourdon (drums, background vocals); Joseph Hahn (turntables, samples, background vocals). Recorded live at Reliant Stadium, Houston, Texas on August 2, 2003 and at Texas Stadium, Irving, Texas on August 3, 2003. Linkin Park's third album (not including the remix project, REANIMATION) is their first live effort, recorded in 2003 on their Metallica and Limp Bizkit-accompanied Summer Sanitarium tour. Showcasing material from their previous two albums, HYBRID THEORY and METEORA, it works well both as a semi-greatest hits set and a useful stopgap for diehard fans. LIVE IN TEXAS finds Linkin Park tighter and more powerful than ever on songs such as the incendiary "One Step Closer" and the pop-metal hybrid "Numb." The band's trademark amalgam of metal, pop, and hip-hop translates well to this live setting, with Mike Shinoda's growling vocals contrasting even more sharply with Chester Bennington's rather angelic pipes. Linkin Park's melodic, roiling choruses, with their frequent angular pauses before jumping straight back into the aural mosh pit, are ideally suited to the wide-open concert venue featured here. While it's no substitute for an actual in-person Linkin Park live experience, the album is both a useful memento of a moment in time and a fine testament to the band's ability to walk a musical tightrope without a studio-enhanced net.
