...for a second, this is a really moving song. It captures hollowness in drugs dependence and explains that no matter how many drugs you take to escape the world you can never escape yourself. Whilst certainly not an anthem, it is a darn fine song to end on. ~~TIP~~ Stick 'Mechanical Animals' in a CD-ROM and find a program that shows you two paintings. Oh and the tip? - don't bother. Arf. ~~TIP~~ Listen: If Marilyn Manson didn't market themselves by grabbing hold of cheap symbols and pretending to be Alice Cooper not only would they have artistic integrity but also.. nobody would know about them at all. See? This is a challenge. ...I have been a marilyn manson fan for many years. Even back when the band was titled marilyn manson and the spooky kids. I love all his music but i think this is the best album up to date. Includes many great songs especially 'disposible teens'. I think many of us will be able to relate to this song. I would recommend that everyone should buy this album. You will defiently enjoy it, even if you previously werent a manson fan. It has his newest work on it, and pulls together a lot of different genres. Defiently purchase this album, i dont think mansons work can ever get any better. This is classic. Marilyn Manson rocks. Keep at it Brian Warner... Read review

...Wandering around virgin, I was desperately looking for a new cd to buy. I wasnt really sure what I wanted, but I knew it was something different, to make a change from the re-runs of muse, and such like. I saw a small collection of Marilyn Manson albums and thought I would have a quick flick through, as with pretty much every single artist in the metal section - much to the disapproval of the staff. Having already got and listened to several Marilyn Manson tracks, I was well aware of what I was getting. The persona of Marilyn Manson is often portrayed as psychotic, and deranged. However, when all is said and done this is just a metal album. Having said that, the cover of this album isnt exactly helping my logic. Featuring a male body, that has been tied to a wall by prison-style shackles,sunken eyes and the lower jaw missing... Read review
