an appropriate white, with an image of Roache looking very casual, mounted on it. 'Soul on the Street' is written in gold coloured lettering, a rich colour showing just how much respect Roache deserves! On the back there is a little blurb about what we can expect, but nothing in too much detail! With that, I decided to read straight away! Opening the book, you will see there is a dedication to Roache's daughter, Edwina. More about this will become clear in the book itself. Turning to the contents page you will see the book is split into three sections, each then divided up into a total of seventeen paragraphs. These are spread out throughout the three hundred pages. That may seem a lot, and the print is not too large either, but it is so fascinating that you seem to forget about this and before you know it, you're finished yet another chapter ...

Advantages: An amusing look at human nature
Disadvantages: Little less conversation a little more action please

44 Scotland Street is a rather unique offering by Alexander McCall Smith of The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency fame. Born in Zimbabwe, the author completed a portion of his education in Scotland and is in fact married to a Scot. In his quite delightful Preface he explains how the novel was the result of mouthing off about the death of the serialised novel in a Scottish newspaper. "The Scotsman" editorial staff took up his challenge and Alexander McCall Smith was forced to put his money where his pen was. "44 Scotland Street" was the result, published in daily portions. The novel explores the lives of the residence of "44 Scotland Street", located in Edinburgh's New Town. The threads of each resident weave together to form a glimpse into a place and time in Edinburgh and result in more of a look at human nature than an overly developed ...

Advantages: Great Place To Shop

As you will have become aware from some of my previous reviews I am not really one for trawling the high street looking for clothing items. I prefer the convenience of buying most of my items online, However on occasion we all unfortunately have to do this at some point. I had been invited to a party so thought that it was about time I invested in a new dress!! Well living and working in Glasgow the only place for me to shop has to be the Buchanan Galleries. Fortunately I always go very early in the morning to try and avoid the crowds and for the most part tend to be able to experience a good couple of hours hastle free shopping and can actually try items on quickly instead of having to wait in huge long queues. The beauty of the "galleries"as they are known locally is that they have a wide range and variety of shops under one roof ...
