Album Reviews: Alternative Press (3/00, p.72) - 3 out of 5 - \"...remains true to his roots and encompasses his influences of more recent years....the most obvious influence is his time spent with Massive Attack....[his] voice is clear, distinct and untouched by time.\"
Advantages: It's SRV! Disadvantages: Minor thing with the album sleeve, hardly worth mentioning!
...price to pay and certainly value for money.
I would thoroughly recommend this album to anyone interested in either rock or blues - it may even appeal to country fans, as Stevie has somewhat of an 'Austin-twang' to his playing. Guitarists and non-guitarists alike should find 'Texas Flood' an enjoyable addition to their collection.

Advantages: A beautifully crafted album of songs Disadvantages: None
...complicated but that doesn't mean its been done in a rush without any time spent on it.
Each song has been crafted and moulded until its just perfect. For Iain Archer it has been a labour of love, he's not concerned with mainstream success just with making credible and fantastic records. On "Flood The Tanks" Iain Archer proves that he has a beautiful voice and is a great lyricist. One of my favourite things on this album is the sense of spirit and hope that shines through in every song, its great. This is a must have album, great for just chilling out and relaxing.
Thanks for reading! H.xo

The lead guitar of Mick Ronson can be heard powering out the opening number “Hang onto yourself”, the first impression you get, as the listener is what’s the rush?
I think the nerves and excitement of the live performance have got the better of the band; the sound also is a little muddy on this first track, but as the song progresses the sound engineer makes all the right adjustments and the sound kicks into life.
As the last part of the first song...
