Living On The Outside - Jim Capaldi

Advantages: A great collection of Deaf Schools musical history.
Disadvantages: Maybe better if it were a mix of their best work, not all of their work.

..., and the third album, the music is almost entirely based on the up and coming new wave music scene which dominated the late 70's. This change in their music was heavily influenced by media reviews and coverage however mainly through the introduction of a new producer Robert John Lange (who also produced the debut for The Boomtown Rats, and is now married to Shania Twain). Possibly some of the most satisfying tracks on the album are those live tracks recorded in the BBC studios for the late John Peel. They show the band musical talent as a live act, and their fun and edgy way in their approach to the music industry and song production and performance. Advantages: This is Jim Morrison son and his music brings Jim in the 21st century!
Disadvantages: A couple of flaws in the recording

...As the world is starting to realize, Jim Morrison has been discovered living in Oregon. The story is breaking on many tv and talks shows. But now a new rock and roll story is emerging. Jim Morrison has a son Cliff who sings just like him at times. The Lizard Sun Band has put together an amazing album. It immediately invokes seriousness as you realize that you are truely listening to Jim Morrison's legacy by the remarkable similarity in their vocals. But then, you get caught up in the music and rhythms, partially generated by Waylan Krieger, Robbie Krieger's guitar playing son. Complexity made simple due to Cliff's amazingly powerful voice and the peaceful rythmic quality of the music. I The intentional overuse of refrains give this cd an hypnotic effect. ...Madly A great song to blast out around the house, it’s lively and I know all the words so you’ll find me singing along too. Released on the L.A Woman album in April 1971. Don't you love her as she's walkin out the door, like she did one thousand times before. 11. People are Strange The guitar on this track is brilliant, a great intro and then Jim sings in only the way he could. This is also on the Stange Days album. 12.Touch Me Jim’s voice shouts out the words in this song and takes your whole mind over, what more can I say? 13. Back Door Man Altough I love The Doors this is not one of my favorite’s either, but I still will listen to it now and again. 14.The Unknown Soldier This is another powerfull and meaningfull song , the energy and feeling Jim puts into singing this one can be felt over generations of time...Classic. 15.
