Advantages: Lots of classics on one album, accessible to all

...Oh Carole I am not a fool Darling I love you Though you treat me cruel … You hurt me And you made me cry But If I lose you I will surely die Etc. etc. For those of you who haven’t caught on by now, those were the words of Neil Sedaka, singing his 1959 smash “Oh Carole.” Now for those of us who’ve thought about it, or even thought it worth thinking about ;), they will be an “Oh yeah! Written about Carole King!” moment, and for those of us who haven’t, and it’s probably worth noting that your life’s more interesting than mine if this is the case, it was probably the first thing we heard about Carole. Advantages: Timeless album of quality music.
Disadvantages: You've probably heard it before!

...What a lovely album! This album is a personal favourite of mine and the album can be enjoyed on so many different levels by people from all backgounds and of all ages. It is easy listening and makes good background music in any setting, yet for music lovers her vocal range expressed in tracks such as "Smackwater Jack" and "Home Again" is impressive. It is an album that really allows you to appreciate Carole King's talent as the songs are backed with real instruments- a treat in comparison with the electrical 80's that followed. "So Far Away" is an excellent example of this with use of the flute and piano. Highlights include the ever popular "You've got a Friend" and "Where you Lead" but you will find yourself enjoying one track after another, and subsequently disappointed when the final track "Like a Natural Women" comes... ...I bought Cece Winans Live in Throne room DVD and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a wonderful experience watching and being part of the concert. The stage was beautiful, with soft flowing curtains, super lighting, great direction, a mix of wide shots, side shots, walk-around shots, over audience shots, and many stunning close-up shots. Very well done. It also offers entertaining and insightful behind the scenes bonus clips. The dancers led by her son Alvin Love, were on top form, very energetic showing what exuberant praise in dance is all about. Cece was at her best. She looked absolutely beautiful in her three outfits, she started with a brownish trouser suit, then a creamish skirt suit that made her look angelic and then a white trouser suit.
