Jacquie Lawson has wonderful cards, offering interactive fun for the recipient. I could view these all day long. The cards come to life, as they are painted before your very eyes. Teddy and the seagulls, reminded me of fishing with my husband, feeding the seals with the bait, instead of catching fish.
Mr Teddy has many delightful adventures in these e-cards, well to all intents and purposes, he appears to be a male bear, but the summer holiday card, and the contents in his trunk, leaves a few questions unanswered. Maybe there is a Mrs Bear!! I will allow you to draw your own conclusions.
Cards ranging from the delightful, to the macabre (the witches brew) not my personal choice, but and indicator or how wide the selection is.
On a much more serious note, the bee and the butterfly weave a beautiful floral wreath, sure to bring ...
Advantages: Nicely written, good characters Disadvantages: Slow start
Rachel is a bit horrified when she finds out that her Aunt Dot has died and left her entire estate to her. Dot's legacy is a boarding kennels in the middle of nowhere, a huge house and a lot of debts to go with it, and Rachel doesn't much fancy moving and becoming at one with the dogs and their owners. However, when she arrives, she finds the people are nice folk with hearts of gold, and that the dogs quickly grow on you as well. Rachel soon begins to make friends with George, the dishy local vet; Zoe, a single mum of 2 young boys struggling to cope with them and new puppy Toffee; Natalie and Johhny, a couple who subsitute a baby for a dog for the time-being whilst they hide a painful secret, and of course Megan who helped Dot run the whole show. Will Rachel be able to settle down and mend her lonely heart once and for all?

Advantages: Amazing poetry, and a large selection of it Disadvantages: He can't read poetry aloud...
Originally I bought this book on a complete spur of the moment decision, if anything I liked the picture of the wolf on the front and I was looking for some new poetry to read. What was originally just an off the cuff, snap shot decision ended up being a scarily good buy. Which is very rare for me! Felix Dennis has become one of my favourite poets for his wit and his sarcasm...as well as his common sense approach towards today's world.

Album Notes
Doyle Lawson's been recording with various versions of Quicksilver since 1980, quietly perfecting the art of contemporary bluegrass over three decades, and the weight of that experience is immediately audible on 2009's LONELY STREET. Lawson and company are among the very few who manage to really bring bluegrass into the 21st century while both holding onto the music's roots and avoiding hidebound traditionalism. Standout tune "Ain't a Woman Somebody When She's Gone" is essentially acoustic honky-tonk, but the high-lonesome feel of "Oh Heart, Look What You've Done" could have come straight from the Bill Monroe playbook, and the focus on original material shows a forward-facing attitude too rare in bluegrass artists of Lawson's vintage.
