Thomas the Tank Engine - Find That Freight.......
Jack is Thomas merchandise mad although he is not too keen on the programme itself,which I find rather strange. Luckily enough we have lots of people that often buy Jack little gifts and this book was one of those said gifts.
Now because this was a gift I am not sure how much exactly it cost but I have looked on Amazon and it is being sold for around the £10 mark. This does seem somewhat expensive for a children's book but you really are getting a good book for that money.
The book itself is a board book, meaning that the pages are all cardboard type tough material and perfect for young children to both hold and read without destroying it! and Jesse no exception. It is for the most part a minor trivial affair that folk not experienced in the true story will not even be aware off. One flippant mistake for me though that I was a bit irked about, was that in Jesse's first bank hold-up he was wounded and got tended to by his cousin Zee. This was the woman he fell in love with and married. Yet in this film it doesn't quite go this way. Clearly some of the film takes the romanticised aspects and gives them some pure silver screen flamboyancy. Now with that being said the costumes etc are very good and in lines with the period, but where the film messes up is that the guys dress like Wild West gunslingers. Advantages: Steam is effective looking, but very safe. Disadvantages: As usual a few batteries required.
The toy I will review now is my son?s and my husbands new favourite, my father in law and brother in law are avid train spotters so when my son feigned the slightest interest in Thomas the tank engine, they nearly passed out with excitement! So much so, that most of the Thomas merchandise is bought by them for various birthdays and christmasses.

For some reason there are a few variations on this particular model of toy, they all come looking the same, identical size and a lot of the time with hand held remote controls, this of course is slightly different.
Before starting you must put the batteries in. The train itself takes quite small batteries considering the size of the train, with it being around the size of a toaster! The train takes 3 x AA batteries ...
