Losrivelse - Kari Bremnes

Advantages: A great pop/rock album.
Disadvantages: Probably wont chart high, as they are pretty much unknown.

...The Feature's new album Exhibit A has reminded me that there are bands out there still worth giving a chance. I must addmitt I had never heard of this band so I guess can give a fair unbiased review of this band and album. The cost is £9.99 from HMV, Virgin any high street music shop. Advantages: Exciting, daring, bold, different, effortlessly cool
Disadvantages: Moments of over-indulgence?

...-indulgent. While not a bad track, it lacks the immediacy of the other tracks and seems too clever for its own good. But then things pick up again for the tongue-in-cheek cocktail party parody of 'Bitters End'. The song has a doo-wop, almost barbershop quartet feel to it, and you have to raise a smile as Ferry closes the song with his most absurd vocal, affecting the accent of an upper-class toff as he sings "Give now the host his claret cup/And watch Madeira's farewell drink/Note his reaction acid sharp/Should make the cognoscenti think", as the cocktail party chatter than opened 'Re-make/Re-model' returns to bring the curtain down on the album. And then there's the presentation of the album, a sign that Roxy Music were as media-savvy as they were brilliant at their art. Advantages: Contains only 11 songs
Disadvantages: lacks originality

This is a very melodic pop/rock song and Bo's voice is for once not overshadowed by over-pompous guitars but accompanied by them and the result is a song that is much better then most of the others on the CD. From the style it is, for my taste, still much too much Bon Jovi then Lynyrd Skynyrd, not really something original, but nice enough to listen to it a few more times. 10. Willing to try Written by John Shanks ( Kelly Clarkson, Joe Cocker, Hilary Duff) and Richie Sambora this ballad starts really good with Bo's bariton coming over nicely. As soon as the music starts to get a bit faster there are the well known Bon Jovi effects again, with lots of guitar, but this time more subtle then on the previous "Nothing without you" and Bo's voice is clearly belting on top of them.
