... ...The Lost Boys, I instantly think of the soundtrack, and when I think of any song on the soundtrack, I instantly think of the film. Films and their soundtracks are often separable, but not with The Lost Boys - a couple of the tracks are hard to notice in the film, but the rest are very noticeable and integral parts of the film. Since the film is heavily dependant on the music, it has to be good, and it is.
To the best of my knowledge, all 10 tracks ...

Still awesome... Review ofLost Boys, The - Various Artistsby
redlane99
Advantages: Totally original and fitting with the movie. Disadvantages: Annoying track at the end.
...Little Sister" the theme to Lost Boys is one of my all time favourite songs, and as i got into the film i used to bug my family by playing this over and over. I still listen to it all the time, having several different versions of it on my ipod. But the original is best, and as i think you will agree with me after hearing it, it is best played really loud, even though years ago, my mum definitley not agree with me!!
"Power Play" was another one ... ...got the album but now i really love it. To me it has a bit of a country feel to it, even though i have yet to find someone that agrees with me!! "I Still Believe" was always my favourite, and still tops the list of songs i would love to hear being performed live. The sax accompainment is superb and one of the reasons i always wanted to learn to play. I actually ended up learning guitar though, but if i did ever learn, this would be the first thing ...

Advantages: Brings back fantastic memories of my youth... Disadvantages: I can't go back, unfortunately...
I remember watching the film as a teenager. Fabulous! I remember going to college the next day and everyone talking not about the film, but about the soundtrack. What memories...
People Are Strange, originally by The Doors, but this time sung by Echo And The Bunnymen was and, to me, still is the best track, although Cry Little Sister peformed by Gerrard McMann is a close second. This is the films theme tune and is perfect with its haunting drums ... ...of my neck now thinking about it.
And only Roger Daltry could make Elton John's 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' be worth listening to, even if the song itself doesn't quite fit the film. The performance of The Who's frontman is exceptional.
A truly amazing soundtrack. I'm off now to listen to it again... ...

Advantages: Fantastic sounds of the 80's Disadvantages: None
This has got to be one pf my most favourite films of all time. Every since i saw it as a tenager i was hooked, got the soundtrack on tape and then bought it on CD a couple of years ago. The soundtrack is just as great, it has an 80's sound to it.
With the rocky sound of "i still believe , the haunting sound of " cry little sister" and the eerie "people are strange". Plus the 80's sound of INXS as on a couple of songs such as Good times it s a good ... ...soundtrack is a must. Whenever i listen to the soundtrack i can remember the exact scene from the movie. If you have heard the soundtrack, and haven't seen the film, watch it, the songs will make much more sense and sound has if they have just been written for the movie. ...
