Advantages: Very toned guitar riffs with loads of effects makes it spectacular Disadvantages: Can be a-bit repeatative at parts
...want to keep listening and it only gets better as the crunchy guitsr tones meet the more exicting whamy bar action.
There is just so much to say about this fantastic CD and the amazing Steve, Like all his music this is no different ,completely original.
I love it as i play guitar and i am truly inspired by Steve and his band but also i like rock music in general and this Album shows some of the best rock music around
Over all this is a 10/10 CD and even if you havent heard Steve Vai before you will still love it. I recieved it as a gift for Christmas after only hearing one of his songs "the audience is listening" and i play this Cd more than any other in my collection.Purely insparational.
10/10!!!!!...

In transition Review ofKaleidoscope - Siouxsie & The Bansheesby

Advantages: Odd Disadvantages: Not odd enough
...This is very much the work of a band in transition - somewhere between the Teutonic master race of The Scream and the glorious passion that informed JuJu. The core of the group here is Siouz, Severin and Budgie and the guitar parts are shared between John McGeoch, ex-Pistol Steve Jones (an old friend) and Sioux herself. There's also a fair amount of synth on this album and it creates a completely different feel to proceedings.
The set boasts the twin peaks of the two singles Happy House and Christine, which are two of the Banshees' finest moments. These two are classics, soaring and memorable, while focused on standard Banshee lyrical fare - insanity is writ large there.
The rest of it's a bit of an odd affair and comes over as being quite...

Advantages: Great Country Music Disadvantages: Not Great If You Don't Like Country
...” is a fantastically twisted love song, something that country music excels at the chorus is simply sublime:-
“If you’re thinkin’ ‘bout breaking my heart,
You might as well just pack up your little black dress and go,
Somebody else already tore it apart,
And I thought you should know”
You don’t really get much better than that now do you………..
“The Seeker” is about looking for answers and truth which is something we all relate to, musically a bit like Tom Petty and a bit disappointing. Even though Tom Petty is good Steve Earle doesn’t need to copy him….. The album and this review finishes off with “The Revolution Starts Now” which is the full version of the opening track so I do not really need to go over it again.
I love this album as it is uplifting and inspiring with an important message. It is also trying to reach people from all parts...
