Advantages: Disadvantages:
...Cold Feet was a wonderful series for any thirt-something bored with their marriage, job, friends or just life. The soundtrack was released soon after the start of the series and shows the wide range of music that fitted the varying themes in the show. Later acts include Fatboy Slim, Space, Republica and Pulp. Then there are the eighties artists like Frankie goes to Hollywood, the Communards and Haircut 100. Towards the end of the album are artists with classic songs from the sixties and seventies. Chuck Berry, Dolly Parton, Bobby McFerrin and ChetBaker all have songs included in a wonderful soundtrack that makes some of us feel that little bit younger....

Saxed Up Review ofYou Inspire Me - Curtis Stigersby

Advantages: Beautiful arrangements of well loved classic songs. Disadvantages: I can't save the six minute video to my PC.

Curtis Stigers has re-emerged as a jazz singer. Consider a blend of ChetBaker, the trumpet playing jazz singer, and phrasing similar to our own Annie Ross along with Tony Bennet and even a touch of Mel Torme, and dare I say-even Frank. The Curtis Stigers' album 'You Inspire Me' is labelled an 'Enhanced CD'. I...

Advantages: Great guitar, good jazz, relaxing Disadvantages: few
....
The album opens with two solo tracks, the up-tempo "Shiny Stockings" and the slower "Like Someone In Love". These set the mood for the rest of the album, showing what he can do alone.
These are followed by "Sweet Lorraine", the first of three duets with Chet Atkins. The two guitar maestros complement each other, giving each other space to solo and also to bring up the rhythm.
"I Got Rhythm" is the first track where Taylor really shows what he can do, and why he is recognised as being so damn good. He starts slowly, teasing the melody, before launching into a fast, complicated bass line with the lower strings then, when you are already impressed, he lays down a melody over the top, and goes on to turn in a solo as well.
"Why Did I choose You" slows things down, a more meandering and mellow piece, before his first overdub duet, playing...
