..., Denmark, the Netherlands, who are very much into the electronica dance music anyway and you find that many of these kind of artists come from these countries anyway. The album itself I think displays that he is not English and struggles a little bit with the English language, or should I say that these kind of artist have problems with lyrics full stop. The album is full of catchy beats and are great for the clubs of today. However it is quite obvious that he can not sing under any circumstances. Although the electronica beats vary track to track which gives it that like bit of variation, the song words are very similar and I could cringe the amount of times that you hear the word smile withi every track. Advantages: Quite a lot of tracks, catchy, orginal songs
Disadvantages: Some of the tracks are pretty bad, but in a funny way!

...In my earlier teen years, i was definitely not into music of the dance genre at all. I much preferred alternative music with meaningful lyrics etc. However, although i'm still young, this album has made me look into other genres of music such as trance and drum and bass that are less focused on lyrics and more about atmosphere and generally having a good time so i am definitely a fan. Now You're Gone (the album) has a good number of tracks on it, making it good value for money and I like the fact that the songs do have lyrics which at least make sense (more than i can say of Scooter, for example). Another personal plus for me is the fact that Basshunter aka jonas altberg is swedish - his accent is quite clear in his singing voice which makes the songs more interesting to listen to. Advantages: It's obvious big things are to come.

...bands like Starsailor, Coldplay and The Stereophonics who seem to hang around for long enough. The album released on EMI records, announced Starsailor’s arrival but enough going on lets actually move onto the album. “I wanna love you but my hands are tied I wanna stay here but I've been denied” The album opens with “Tie Up My Hands”, which is one of the first tracks I actually liked on the album. The guitar and drums come in from the beginning, with a slow beat building up slowly and fairy quietly. The guitar is probably the best part of this intro with the drum keeping the same beat throughout the song but the guitar varying it nicely. The vocals are very strong and the lyrics well written, which is best highlighted in the chorus. The drum beat still the same keeps the track ticking over well. Overall a decent start to the album...
