Love Over Rage - Tom Robinson

" Trisha loves Tom".

Advantages: Intriuging .... subtle hidden depths.
Disadvantages: Difficult to put down .

I have long been an avid fan of Stephen king. Enjoying his use of words and his flair for knowing the secrets of human frailty and the workings of the mind . King seems to understand our most private fears . From "bumps" in the dark to Childhood threats , that even as adults we can't quite shake off. He recognises them all, shapes them and uses them to reach his audience with superb effect. I have read and in the main enjoyed his work immensely . "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon ." Is in my opinion exceptional. No hint of gratutitous violence, minimal "bad language" , this tale takes you on a tour of the "survival instinct" . Through the eyes and mind of a nine year old girl. Her name , Trisha McFarland. Current as always, King opens his tale centered around a sad phenominon in this day and age , the effect of marital break ...

Love Over Gold

Advantages: Beautifully produced, melodic
Disadvantages: A little self-conscious

An album which in my opinion is as good as their most successful release "Brothers in Arms", "Love Over Gold" seems to have been generally neglected for some reason (for example, this is the first Ciao review of the album). "Love Over Gold" moves Dire Straits on from the bluesy pub rock of their previous releases. In fact this is definitely more of a prog-rock album than anything they've done before or since, and they really ought to have stuck with this approach. Opening track "Telegraph Road" is the showpiece of the album, 14 minutes long and beautifully constructed. Pink Floyd would have been proud of this (not that it sounds especially like them, but it's verging on that kind of music). "Private Investigations" has a hook in it which many people will recognise even if they think they've never heard the song before ...

tom tom one xl

Advantages: simple operation inbuilt safety camera detection comprehensive coverage
Disadvantages: mounting suction cup prone to lose grip on bumpy roads

The TomTom one xl is in my opinion the best navigation aid in it,s price range. Further I would with no hesitation say. it gives systems out there that cost £3000 or more a run for their money. Having previously owned the TomTom go. which I found to be of great usefullness . This improved and updated device satisfactoraly adresses any slight niggles the TomTom gomay have had. I found the route calculation speed to be fast The device also has many extremely useful gadgets and applications. A particularly handy application is the inbuilt income generating cameras detection [pardon me I meant to say safety cameras]. the device is also capable of calculating a route around traffic congestion and accidents, particularly useful for those of us regularly using the M25. ...
