Loving the Ire and the Songs

Advantages: It's great music more or less throughout
Disadvantages: A couple of weaker moments

Having heard Frank Turner's "The First Three Years", an album which reflected on his first few years work as a solo artist after leaving Million Dead, there was no way I couldn't listen to more of his music. After all, the genre he works in, mainly folk based but with frequent rock twists, was one I enjoy listening to and my first experience with his work proved that he was very adept within that field. Compilations like that can be a bit patchy due to their nature, so it seemed only fair I judge him not only on that, but also on his studio work. Fortunately, the version of "The First Three Years" I picked up also came packaged with his second studio album, "Love, Ire & Song", so I didn't have to go too far to get a taste of Turner's studio work. Time, Love and Tenderness - we all need some

Advantages: A few good tracks (album price worth 4-5 songs good)
Disadvantages: A bit repetitive in places.

Title Time Love And Tenderness Performer Michael Bolton Genre Pop Vocal Sub Genre Contemporary Pop Vocal Release Date 15/12/2003 Well this album was released by Michael Bolton, as it says, in december 2003. It has at least one cover on it (Track 6, When A Man Loves A Woman), which was done by Percy Sledge a while back. It has a really uplifting track to kickstart the album, with Love Is A Wonderful Thing. This lulls you into a false sense of security of thinking this is going to be all good, upbeat songs, but the second song, the title track of the album, is upbeat in places but there is a definite mellowing feel to it. Leading into the softer sounds of Missing you now, and Forever isn't long enough, which really put me to sleep, but I did like them (anyone with an idea to knock sense into me?). UPDATED I have edited this, chucked a few other songs in and got rid of some, and rewritten a couple! I have gotten rid of Mariah Carey, you'll be glad to know! /UPDATED Yes, I like Blue and I'm not ashamed of that fact! This is really sweet and I LOVE it. I don't listen to it that often and when I do, I want to melt! I think Lee has a lovely voice, and Duncan is possibly the most gorgeous guy I have ever set eyes upon. The fact that this song is me and my boyfriend's 'song' does not make me biased, ok?! Another Blue song. I like this more than You Make Me Wanna.
