Advantages: easy to apply Disadvantages: those gloves
I have regularly used this product in particular the burgundy colourant. It was the first of the ''tone on tone'' colourants. It is simplicity in itself to apply - just screw the two bottles together and give it a shake then apply to your hair> This product is a little bit runny so I'd sugessted that you really give your hair a good towel dry before you apply it. Bog standard plastic gloves that are too flimsy so find your self some more unless you want dyed fingers! The colourant covers the odd grey hair well not to sure about it if you had alot of grey though. Conditioner sample that comes with it is best left on for a while longer than is recommended. Not a bad colourant if a little too unnatural in effect. ...
Advantages: cheap, easy to use Disadvantages: can be messy!
I have been dying my hair since I was around 14. Until I was about 19, I died it blonde with that awful Sun-in lightening spray. I had a bit of a disaster when I bought a cheaper brand and ended up with a head full of bright yellow hair. The girls at work kept saying it was fine, and no-one could tell. My natural colour turned out to be, as I had somewhat expected, a horrible mousy brown/dark blonde, that looked dull, and the mix of mousy and blonde had the habit of making me look like I was going grey! I'm not sure why I decided to go dark, but I did. I ...
Advantages: Easy to use, covers grey and dodgy highlights, lasting effect Disadvantages: Sensitive scalps take care
hair as somewhat darker than the shade on the box. However, when in sunlight, my hair looksred which is what i wanted.
As well as the ingredients for mixing, the box contains a generous helping of colour-sealing conditioner, sufficient for at least three applications on my thick, curly, collar-length hair. Brilliant!
I have also, in the past, used this product on top of henna'd hair with no ill effects. However, it's not recommended in the instructions.
The dye itself is very easy to apply, doesn't drip and you only need to leave it on for 20 minutes. It's the most hassle-free and least messy hair dye i've ever used (and i've used a lot!) It also has a pleasant smell and doesn't wash out too quickly.
One word of caution: You definitely need to perform a strand test and a scalp test before using this product ...
