I got this film out on video because my niece wanted to watch it. I would have preferred something else, but then young people rule, OK! However, I found the film very funny and laughed all the way through. It is about a 12 year old Indian girl, Meena, growing up in the Midlands in the early 70s. I am a few years younger than Meena, so I could indentify with the times and some of the situations she found herself in. It did bring back memories of how people used to dress and act. It is a very observant film, but done in a very funny way. The obsession with having blonde hair is still the case today, I guess, but I could identify with Meena when she said she wished she had blonde hair and was called Sharon!!! I too have dark hair and would look ridiculous as a blonde!!
Meena becomes obssessed with her next door neighbour, teenager Anita ...

of finding love with Sarah trying out speed-dating, online agencies and lonely hearts ads. She even applies to be a contestant on a reality tv programme!
There is some strong language at points with the use of the 'F' and 'C' words seeming pretty prolific for a book of this nature but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the story at all. There are also some pretty explicit description of sexual acts at one point - although, unfortunately for Sarah, they are embellishments that she makes to spice up her blog rather than accounts of her amazing encounters! This is something that most of us could identify with and provided some genuine 'laugh old loud' moments, believe me!
As a principal character, Sarah is likeable and comes across as a person that could easily be a friend in real life. She is flawed and the author has seen fit to cast her as ...
Advantages: Easy to put together Disadvantages: You need a dry day to build it
, wandered around the local garden centres and did quite a bit of research. There was huge amount of choice out there and even the thickness of the planks they use varies. I did think about getting one of the thickest planks and then, as I only wanted it for a garden feature and don't plan to use it as an office etc, I decided that the standard 28mm planks would be perfectly adequate. There is also a huge variety of styles and sizes but I didn't want anything too big or too fancy so I had managed to narrow it down.
What I then decided to focus on was delivery times, with my old Summerhouse gone and all the contents in my garage I wanted something before the Winter set in. Many of the online sites were quoting up to eight weeks delivery and I am not known for my patience. About half a mile from my home there is a fencing contractor, David ...
