Advantages: A real pick me up, a song repeating over and over in your head. Disadvantages: None.
...There are millions of songs in the world, but from all the rest, this one really does stand out.
Downtown, by Petula Clark is really the song to play if your feeling down and lonely, it really does make you feel better.
In chart records, it got to #1in the USA Hot 100 number-one hits, and kept that record for 2 weeks from January 23rd until February 6th 1965, being knocked off by The Righteous Brothers with You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin. In the UK chart it got to #2, and was sang in French and in France got to #6.
The song was finished 30 minutes before its first recording by a guy called Hatch in the studios mens room. Downtown was also the first song ever to be sang by a British artist to enter the Billboard Top 100. It also went on to win a Grammy Award for best rock and roll song.

...He isn't called "The Baron" for nothing. Over the past years Dave Clarke has established himself as one of the very best DJs in the world. His ventures into production include this album "Devil's Advocate" and many of his now legendary remixes. He has done remixes for just about everyone from Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Leftfield to Laurent Garnier. Advantages: Lovely variation of styels of music (mainly electro and techno) Disadvantages: I honelstly can't think of any - one of my favourite CD's!
...Dave Clarke's World Service - Outstanding!!
I am a huge fan of techno and electro - this album in my opinion contains the some of the best of both genres rolled into 1 album. I will give you the lowdown on both discs:
Disc 1: Techno mix
Typical pounding set from the man himself Dave Clarke. Starts off with some lovely melodic techno tracks such as 'Force' by Technasia and Midfield Generals 'Coatnoise' (Dave Clarke Remix). The tchno mix soon progresses into more percussive heavy dark tracks such as 'Ceroxol' by Umek. This disc is packed with tracks typical of Dave Clarke's style of mixing - playing the best part of tracks to get as many tunes in as possible.
Disc 2: Electro mix
Completely different vibe from the Techno mix but better in my opinion. The name says it all - it is Electro in its purest form, a lot more down beat...
