Advantages: Short Christmas Themed Film Disadvantages: Not very funny
So Christmas is now here and along with it come out loads of mini spin off films from the big blockbusters. DreamWorks have just brought out the latest in a line of Madagascar films called Merry Madagascar and as normal, it follows Marty and Gang in their quest to try to make it back to New York in time for Christmas.
Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria are attempting to escape from the Island of Madagascar to their home of New York in a hot air balloon when their balloon is attacked by King Julian and the rest of the Lemurs with fire arrows and crashes back down onto the island.
When Alex and the gang question King Julian he tells that it is the 24th Julianary and the Marauding Red Goblin always flies over the island and throws rocks down on them so this year it is their aim to knock the Marauding Red Goblin out of the sky ...
Advantages: get all the shopping you need in one trip Disadvantages: takes all day to get through the crowds
Merry Hill is a retail facility which was built between 1984-1989 with extensions still been built today.
It occupies a 125 acre site with two levels of covered mall shops, a retail warehouse park, a 10-screen multiplex cinema and 10,000 car parking spaces. The lettable floor areas of the various elements of Merry Hill are:
Covered shopping - 1,055,000 sq. ft
Retail warehouse - 320,000 sq. ft
Multiplex cinema - 40,000 sq. ft
Other retail - 100,000 sq. ft
Total 1,515,000 sq. ft
The covered malls provide over 185 shops and kiosks, a department store, several large variety stores, 2 supermarkets and 24 catering outlets providing 2,200 seats.
Depending upon the method of measurement, it is probably the third largest facility of it's type in the UK after Bluewater and the Metro Centre.

Advantages: Works well, nice tin, easy to use, tastes nice Disadvantages: A bit expensive
When I was ordering some Christmas presents from the Body Shop I noticed that, if I spent £25 I would get a free pot of body butter, and since I was almost there I chose a tin of Merry Cranberry Lip Balm at a cost of £4.85 for a tin containing 15ml of the lip balm.
As most of you will know I am a great fan of lip balms of all sorts. We live on the Great Orme in Llandudno so we have a sea breeze ? sometimes a sea gale ? most of the time. Add that to the fact that I spend a lot of time outside chopping wood for our log burner and you will see why I need to use lip balm all the time. I can't stand my lips feeling dry - it really irritates me.
The lip balm that I chose on this occasion was the Merry Cranberry Lip Balm which is part of a range of Cranberry products in store (and on line) ready for the Christmas market.
