Advantages: A new feel to hip-hop, both in style and language Disadvantages: None
...MCSolaar's second, and without doubt, best LP. For those of you who don't know MCSolaar is a french rapper, who has almost single handedly brought french hip-hop to the rest of the world, and paved the way for other artists such as IAM and Fabe to follow. His sucess has spawned five albums, plus a live album, to date, as well as work on GURU's Jazzmattaz project and the "La Haine" soundtrack. This album is by far the best of the five and is consistently superb throughout. Even for those of us who don't speak or understand much french the quality of the beats (from his producer and DJ, Jimmy Jay) are superb whilst the lyrical deliver is first class. His style would be the french equivalent of Mos Def or Common, very smooth and laid back. Treat yourself to something different and buy this album, I assure you you won...

...Ten years ago I was introduced to a French rap artist by the name of MCSolaar. The album in question was called Qui Seme le Vente Recolte le Tempo and I remember being pretty impressed by the slick, jazzy hip hop that was unlike anything I’d heard before. I’m not a great fan of this style of music, but I clearly recollect thinking… oh, this is good. Completely different to the grating, bassier NWA and Public Enemy I’d been exposed to previously, MCSolaar was much smoother, more melodic, altogether a more complete musical experience. Think of maybe a more mature Cypress Hill, minus the playground rhymes and annoying vocals.
But that was then. To my shame I didn’t followed him up until recently. I was actually looking up some info about a Senegalese vocalist called Baaba Maal, who you may or may...

Advantages: the best songs by Brian McKnight spanning 13 years! Disadvantages: there are some of his other fab songs missing
...Brian McKnight is a versatile singer, composer and producer. He is well respected for his skills on the piano and guitar as well as his outstanding singing! He is amazing at singing smooth R&B but can also perform beautiful gospel tunes as well.. He has a very smooth distinctive voice - there are few R&B/soul fans that will not have heard of him - if you love R&B, you will love this man & you will love this album..
Over the years, Brian McKnight has recorded with the likes of Nelly, Vanessa Williams, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Kenny G. and many more!.. He is said to have sold over 26 million records worldwide (wow!!) and has gone double platinum with his previous album Back At One.
Brian McKnight has been singing for over 12 years and this album spans from 1989-2002! - Brilliant!!!..
Here is the track listing
