Our niece is almost 9 and loves doing anything arty, when I spotted the Madeby Me book had been left with the book club in the canteen at work. I knew before I even turned a page she would love it.
I ordered it and when it had been delivered I knew that I had made the right choice. The book is "A Stitch-by-Stitch Guide to Knitting, Sewing and Embroidery", the front cover in lovely pastel shades is very appealing and what first caught my attention.
The book is split into four chapters:
Workboxes
Embroidery
Sewing and
Knitting.
The Workboxes chapter is the shortest at just pages, here the reader is shown how to make and decorate their own workboxes for keeping things like wool or ribbon in using things you would find around the house such as a jam jar or an egg box.

This brings us to the ink of the pen which is what the company are selling by the name of ?quink? which I'll happily suppose is short for ?quick ink?, an idea that is sublime and helps the device no end to do what it needs to do. The ink is almost impossible to smudge (unless you deliberately draw a larger mess deep with ink then try even then it's very little actual mess) and dries almost immediately. Though this came free with the pen I'm not sure on it's stand alone price. Though it needs to be said the ink can mark through 80gsm paper which isn't very pleasing.
